This young and fresh mencía is the ideal accompaniment for a meeting with lifelong friends, those with whom meals go on for hours without you noticing.
The terroir, sustainable viticulture and an oenology that respects the varietal characteristics and highlights the full potential of the grape, translate into this young, fresh and balanced Mencía. The pre-fermentation maceration of the harvest, selected in the vineyard and winery, allows the aromas of the Mencía variety to be extracted. After alcoholic fermentation, in stainless steel tanks and at a controlled temperature, the gentle pressing of the paste yields the new wines, which are finally rounded off by spending a short time in the tank.

Verdes Castros Mencia goes very well with grilled meats, sausages and cured cheeses.
Red colour ranging from ruby to cherry, of mid-intensity, with elegant maroon flashes.
Nice intensity in the nose. The varietal notes are predominant—red fruit, greengage—and it has elegant notes of cocoa and blue flowers.
Fresh and tasty in the mouth. Even though it is young it has body. It is long and silky, and one can find again varietal hints of ripe fruit, with a soft and pleasant finish.
