We produce fresh wines with a unique personality
Moulded by a deep and bright fertile valley through which flows peacefully the river Sil, a magical landscape of granite and slate, Terriña winery is located in the northeast of the province of Ourense, which is the natural gateway to Galicia. Petín has a landscape of red and black soils where the chestnut tree, the vine and the olive tree grow.
Valdeorras was a land of transit and destination for the Roman legions, who planted the first vines and built wineries. By doing this, they gave rise to the tradition and culturesecular today-of growing grapes and making exquisite, fresh and fruity wines with aromas of great personality.
The immense potential of our wine plots is given by the nature of their soils, of clay-ferrous texture, and the climatic characteristics of the area, with cold winters and hot summers, mild autumns and springs, and average rainfall. After years of research efforts, the implementation of new technologies and the modernization of the production process, we have ensured that our O.O. Valdeorras wines are among the best in Spain and they are exported to all five continents.
In this winery we elaborate:
Verdes Castros Mencía and Verdes Castros Godello.
